The NFL is coming to its biggest sports market yet with a brand new television deal that could potentially lead to big ratings.
Al Jazeera America is launching a new channel on Tuesday, the network said, which will be part of the new Al Jazeera English network.
The new channel will be a new platform that will focus on Al Jazeera’s coverage of the NFL and NFL player protests, and is expected to launch on Tuesday.
The network’s new sports channel will debut with an on-air panel discussion with the league’s commissioner Roger Goodell and other experts.
In recent weeks, Goodell has faced criticism from some in the league for failing to enforce the rules that have allowed players to kneel during the national anthem to protest police brutality.
Goodell has also been a target of backlash for not addressing the issues surrounding racial inequality in the NFL.
Last week, Goodell also defended the league as a place where people from all walks of life can feel welcomed.
