Philadelphia’s Fox Sports Southwest Sports Authority is introducing a new kind of sports and content partner.
For the first time, Fox Sports will have a dedicated sports content partner, Fox Bucks.
Fox Bucks will offer live NBA games from Fox Sports Philadelphia and Fox Sports Ohio, the league’s official online television partner.
The deal also includes Fox Sports Chicago, Fox News Channel, and Fox College Sports.
The move comes as Fox Sports is seeking a new home for its new Philadelphia sports network.
Fox Sports Southeast is the latest in a line of new networks to launch in the Philadelphia market.
The network is launching with a new name, Sports Business Daily, which is an attempt to capitalize on the local sports market.
“We have been on the hunt for a new and innovative sports network for Philadelphia,” Fox Sports chairman and CEO Bill Kalil said in a statement.
“We are excited to partner with Fox Bucks and give them a first-class sports experience that they will truly appreciate.”
The Bucks are expected to air at least three games per week.
