The answer is more than half of all NFL teams have a good chance of making the playoffs this season, according to a new study from Sports Marketing Analytics.
The research group looked at teams in four key divisions: the AFC South, NFC East, NFC North and NFC West.
They analyzed data from ESPN Stats & Info and the Elias Sports Bureau, and the research group said it found that there are roughly 1,837 teams with at least a 50 percent chance of winning a division title or playoff berth this season.
That means there are at least 1,891 teams in each division that have a 50-percent chance of competing for a playoff berth, according the study.
The average team in the NFC South has a 50.5 percent chance to make the playoffs, which is the second-highest of any division.
The Eagles have the highest average odds at 47.6 percent.
In the AFC North, the Colts have the best chance of finishing the regular season with a playoff spot, with a 51.5-percent probability of making it, according Sports Marketing.
That means they have a 55-percent shot of winning the division.
There are only two teams in the league that have an even chance of being the division champions, the Dolphins and Bills, with 53.4 and 52.5 odds respectively.
The Colts are tied for fourth in the AFC East with a 49.5 likelihood.
The Jets have the second highest odds at 50.8 percent, with the Raiders and Bengals both at 49.6.
The Broncos and Seahawks are tied at 51.3 and 52 percent.
